About the new OPSIS websites
The new look OPSIS web sites went live on Monday 16th March to coincide with the move of the UK Stamford office to Grantham.
This post is to tell you a little bit more about the web sites, and how to use them.
Re-organisation of OPSIS Domains
The main difference that customers familiar with our old website should understand is that the OPSIS domain names now split off into separate web sites (before if you went to opsisltd.com you would automatically get forwarded to opsisltd.co.uk, but now there is a proper website at opsisltd.com), so we now have:-
- www.opsisltd.com - The new main Head Office or “corporate” web site. This provides general OPSIS company information, contact information and an overview of products and our business partners.
- www.opsisltd.co.uk - The new UK Sales website covering England, Scotland and Wales. This provides more specific UK contact information and in-depth product information. A new Sales oriented website for Ireland customers is soon to be built and when complete it will be available at www.opsisltd.ie, but until then customers in Ireland should use the UK Sales website, which provides the relevant Ireland contact details for the time being.
- support.opsisltd.co.uk - All Helpdesk and Support contact information, and support related resources, like manuals, helpsheets, software downloads, and so forth, have been split off into this completely separate and new website.
- www.opsisltd.info - This is the home of the OPSIS Blog (you’re reading it now!), which is the central point for all News and Events coverage, whether that be Corporate, Sales related, or Helpdesk announcements of new software releases. Each news article will link off to the relevant web site page as necessary.
- forum.opsisltd.info - This is The OPSIS Forum, where Legal Cashiers, Accountants, Solicitors, Fee Earners and Executives can go to discuss various work related topics, or OPSIS products.
Hopefully this re-organisation makes things clearer and easier to find by keeping Sales and Support distinct and separate from each other.
Navigating the OPSIS Websites
Each new website has two main navigation areas. The blue menu at the top of every page provides the main site navigation, with the main pages on the top (blue), and sub-sections within each page on the bottom (grey):-
After selecting a particular main menu option, and that page appears, the main content is displayed in the lower half of the page.
Also a side-bar menu appears at the left-hand side which allows sub-section selections to be made.
Selecting an option on this menu will display the relevant information within the scrollable centre section of the page.

Example of Sidebar Menu
For commonly accessed items there is a Quick Links shortcut menu at the top-right of all pages. Click the Quick Links link, and its menu will pop-open, allowing you to jump immediately to frequently used resources.
You will also notice two other links at the top that allow you to quickly jump from one website to another, for example to jump out of the Corporate website, into the UK Sales or Support websites, depending on your requirements.

Search Facility

Search Box
The Search feature within the web site has been completely overhauled and allows easy searching for pages, and other items such as Adobe PDF documents contained within each web site. Note that you need to be in the correct website for a particular search. For instance you will need to perform a search in the Support website to find PDF documents relating to product resources like manuals and helpsheets.
Printing Content
The new websites are printer-friendly.

Print Page button
Use the Print Page button near the bottom of the main page content scrollable section, or choose the File->Print… menu option in your browser to print out any page of the website.
The page layout and content, has been designed to print properly and will omit any un-necessary menu navigation bars, sidebars and graphics, so as to print nicely without wasting paper.
Screen Size
After careful research of the usage statistics of visitors to our websites we decided to design the websites for viewing on a minimum screen resolution of 1024×768.
New LCD-display computer screens with higher resolutions are becoming very popular nowadays, and many people find they can work much better, and with more applications on their desktop, far more easily by using a display resolution setting of 1024×768 or greater.
If you have any suggestions or comments on the new web sites, please either Leave a Comment on this news article, or use the Feedback Form on the OPSIS Website to tell us what you think.
