This position is ideally suited to a Legal Accounts Cashier
Looking for a change in career path!
OPSIS are a Law Society approved software supplier with over 800 firms using our software. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our Support Team to deliver training for users of our legal accounts systems.
This is a challenging and varied role - no 2 days will ever be the same! Your role will involve the preparation and delivery of training to legal accounts staff to ensure they get the best from their new OPSIS system. The role will also require liaison with the Development Team to work on software enhancements and ongoing development projects.
You must have good IT skills, working knowledge of legal accounting software and thorough knowledge of SAR’s. A minimum of 3 years legal accounts experience is required.
The successful applicant will be a car owner and be willing to travel, which may include some overnight stays.

We would like to introduce you to 4 new members of staff, Tina Murphy, Rachel Speed, Diana Street and Kirsty Hosty……
Tina Murphy previously worked within the IT training division of the NFU for many years and joined us in February as our new Solicitor Case Manager Trainer.
Rachel Speed has joined OPSIS as a Legal Consultant. During her 14 years as a solicitor working in a variety of firms in the North West, Rachel was responsible for implementing 6 different case management systems! Calling on this wealth of experience, Rachel will be available to help our customers get the most from their new OPSIS system as well as adding Debt Recovery and Wills & Probate to our range of “starter packs”.
Diana Street has joined the Development Team and will be working mainly on new data conversions.
Kirsty Hosty has recently joined us as our new Receptionist. Kirsty will be the first point of contact when logging support calls.

JULY LEGAL AID LSC CHANGES

An important upgrade release of Millennium Accounts (V5.71) caters for new Legal Aid functions to comply with the latest Legal Services Commission changes that became active on 1st July 2008, and later in August 2008. The software release was originally notified by post to customers Friday 27th June 2008.

The recently released version of Millennium Accounts (V5.71) incorporates the civil hourly rate changes and fixed fee values for:
- Family Care Proceedings,
- Family Help,
- Mental Health,
- Immigration & Asylum Graduated Fee
- and Tailored Fixed Fee (TFF) replacement bills.
In addition, all Criminal work reported from 1st August 2008 will comply with the LSC’s new VAT reporting arrangements regardless of when the work was started, completed or the submission month it is included in.
